The Scottish Government in their recent Housing Scotland Bill are proposing that there is to be a Tenants’ Charter which will give undertakings that landlords’ will have to consider and it will strengthen tenants rights!

Rent Arrears: Stirling Council makes ban on evictions.

At its final meeting in June 2009, before the summer recess, Stirling Council supported a motion by Councillor Alasdair MacPherson to place a temporary suspension on evictions due to rent arrears. (No other reason is suspended).

Scottish Government Approves New House Building Programme for Stirling.

Stirling Council’s bid to build new houses in its area has been approved by the Scottish Government. A £7.2million bid has been awarded £600,000 to kick start a programme of 200 plus homes for those currently on the Council’s waiting list.
